REVOLUTIONIZING LEARNING: EXAMINING THE LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF E-LEARNING MODALITIES ON KNOWLEDGE RETENTION

This study examines the long-term effects of e-learning modalities on knowledge retention, analyzing how digital learning environments influence the retention and application of knowledge over time. The research explores various e-learning approaches, including asynchronous courses, interactive multimedia, and virtual classrooms, to understand their impact on long-term learning outcomes. Through a longitudinal study of students across different disciplines, the study evaluates factors such as engagement, content delivery methods, and learner motivation in determining the sustainability of learning. Findings suggest that while e-learning can significantly improve short-term comprehension, its effectiveness in long-term knowledge retention depends on factors such as learner interaction, assessment types, and technological support. Recommendations for enhancing e-learning strategies to optimize knowledge retention are also provided.
