Peer Review Process

The peer review process for iMechanica: Journal of Applied Mechanics and Vocational Training involves a series of evaluations to ensure the quality of submissions:

  1. The manuscript is first reviewed by an editor to ensure alignment with the journal’s focus, scope, and originality, using Turnitin to check for plagiarism.
  2. It undergoes a double-blind review by at least two anonymous reviewers, who evaluate the methodology, relevance, and contributions.
  3. Authors receive feedback for revisions.
  4. The editorial board makes a final decision based on reviewer feedback. The process typically takes 4 to 12 weeks.

Decision categories include:

  • Reject: Manuscripts not suitable for publication will be rejected, and no resubmission is allowed.
  • Resubmit for Review: If significant revisions are required, the manuscript can be resubmitted for a second review.
  • Accept with Revisions: Conditional acceptance is provided, requiring either major or minor revisions, which will be reviewed by the editor before publication.
  • Accept: The manuscript is accepted in its current form, with no further modifications necessary.

The journal aims to ensure rigorous academic quality while providing timely feedback to authors.
