ASSESSING THE DIGITAL LITERACY COMPETENCIES OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS AND STUDENTS

This study assesses the digital literacy competencies of senior high school teachers and students, focusing on their ability to use technology effectively for learning and teaching. Digital literacy is essential in modern education, as it enables both teachers and students to navigate online resources, engage with digital tools, and create meaningful educational content. The research examines the level of digital literacy among both groups, comparing their competencies in areas such as information retrieval, critical evaluation of digital content, and the use of educational technology tools. Surveys and interviews were conducted with teachers and students across various senior high schools to gather data. The findings reveal significant disparities in digital literacy between teachers and students, with teachers generally demonstrating higher competencies in technology use but also facing challenges in integrating it into their teaching practices. The study emphasizes the need for professional development programs for teachers and the inclusion of digital literacy training in student curricula to bridge the existing gap.
