DIGITAL LITERACY AS A LIFELONG SKILL: INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

This study explores the integration of digital literacy in early childhood education as a foundation for lifelong learning. In today’s digital age, it is crucial for young learners to develop foundational technology skills early on to prepare them for future academic and personal success. The research examines various strategies for incorporating digital tools and resources into early childhood curricula, assessing their impact on children's cognitive development, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Through observational studies and interviews with educators, the study investigates how technology can be used effectively in the classroom to promote engagement and learning outcomes. The findings suggest that when implemented thoughtfully, digital literacy can enhance traditional learning methods, fostering essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. The study also highlights the importance of teacher training and parental involvement in supporting the development of digital literacy in young children.
