DIGITAL LITERACY ACROSS GENERATIONS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND PARENTS

This study presents a comparative analysis of digital literacy levels across three generations—students, teachers, and parents—within the educational context. As digital technology rapidly evolves, understanding how different generations engage with digital tools and platforms is crucial for enhancing educational practices and family involvement. The research examines the digital literacy competencies of each group, focusing on skills such as information searching, content creation, online communication, and critical evaluation of digital content. Through surveys and interviews, the study identifies differences and similarities in how students, teachers, and parents use technology for learning, teaching, and supporting academic growth. The findings reveal that while students are typically more familiar with social media and digital entertainment, teachers demonstrate greater proficiency in using technology for educational purposes, and parents show a more varied range of competencies. The study highlights the importance of fostering digital literacy across all generations to create a cohesive learning environment and suggests strategies for improving digital engagement among parents and teachers to support student success.
